Seatbelt weave is tighter and smoother on skin. Both thread under both spring bars, so the backup is identical — it's a feel preference, not a safety one.
Is seatbelt nylon as tough as ballistic?
Yes. It's woven the same way real seatbelt webbing is, and it handles sweat, water and humidity just as well.
